Identity Resolution and their role in Identity Graphs

In this clip from our Identity Graph explainer video, we discuss the concept of Identity Resolution.

Identity resolution (or ID resolution) is the process of matching data points/identifiers from various sources to create a unified view of a single individual. If these data points are successfully matched to form that unified view, then that means that specific identity is “resolved”. The process can be extended beyond individual users to other entities such as households. A useful heuristic is that whenever data from different sources are matched, ID resolution is used to facilitate.

As ID resolution is what makes virtually all modern identity/audience-based use cases possible, it’s foundational concept on top of which many other concepts sit.
